Service Description
Youth Summer Wellness is firing up next week! This summer I am giving youth ages 10-15 years a chance to create some routine a few days a week, improve their overall wellness, and have some community! The focus is on movement, fun, building confidence, challenging themselves, injury prevention and also creating intentional pause and self care. Sessions will be hosted for 5 weeks! Tuesdays and Thursday @ 11-1pm Week 1: July 8 & 10 Week 2: July 15 & 17 Week 3: July 22 & 24 Week 4: July 29 & 31 Week 5: August 5 & 7 SCHEDULE: 11-11:55am (ish) The first hour of each day will start with proper warmup, and each session will be different and challenging with various aspects of mechanics, balance and mobility. It will include strength training that will include body weight and age appropriate resistance training to create balance in strength throughout the body, stability in the joints, and confidence. They will get to use various equipment throughout our facility, as well as learn safety using it, proper form, technique, and education on mechanics and alignment. Have fun, build confidence, improve body mechanics, gain strength, ensure alignment, learn life wellness skills and prevent injury.and strength training (age appropriate). They can have a quick snack and break outside after this if they need. 12:05-1pm (ish) The second portion of our Tuesdays will incorporate a pause, because our youth need this. There will be a variety of components (different every sess) stretching yoga, fascia work and rolling, Restorative yoga, sound bowls and more. The second hour of Thursdays may also include boxing, agility training, but also a component of mindset training, guided meditations, breathwork awareness, body connection (all age appropriate) and more. I am passionate about teaching youth the value of BIG energy physical training, but also the absolutely necessary piece of pause and awareness for mental health and downregulation of the body, mind and nervous system (which the big time athletes also do). Youth tend to love the ‘pause’ component, despite what they may initially think, and they feel the benefits of these practices. Full Summer Set <10 sessions • 20 hours> $199 + GST Choose Your Weeks (3-4 weeks) <2 sessions/wk • 4 hours for 3-5 weeks> $40/week + GST Two Weeks <4 sessions | 8 hours> $110 + GST Single Week <2 sessions • 4 hours> $60+ GST All sessions are hosted by Miranda Wiese, owner and head trainer.
