Join Miranda on the mat for an experience like no other, that she has become OBSESSED with and integrated into her own health routine. These sessions will incorporate time rolling fascia, in various positions on the acupressure mat, and being supported and relaxed in a restorative yoga pose with bolsters. Moving from the use of a few different tools, including a fascia ball, yoga bolsters, and an acupressure mat (all provided, MATS & PILLOWS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE THROUGH MIRANDA). Acupressure. The practice of using acupressure is yes, a bit intense. But so is walking through your day with heaviness, tension and in an activated nervous system state. These mats host thousands of spikes to apply pressure to your skin and muscles, inviting circulation, relaxation of tense muscles, relief from stress, relaxation and general vitality. For most, at first there is a bit of mild discomfort, which you will be guided to be with and breathe into. Then a tingly sensation and warmth sets in, and then the discomfort melts into deep states of relaxation and and feelings of bliss (even sleep). It supports the stimulation of sympathetic 'fight or flight' to the parasympathetic 'rest and digest'....just as does restorative yoga. We will move through various poses and ways to invite release and awakening in the body. Fascia work will be guided using a dense ball, to reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and break adhesions while opening up spots in the body that can get tight and lead to injury.
